Cunard Line has announced the cruise details for its three ships next year. Queen Elizabeth will sail from Southampton for the first six months of 2012 before operating fly-cruise voyages from Venice, Civitavecchia (Rome) and Athens. Meanwhile Queen Victoria will sail from Southampton to Northern Europe and the Mediterranean, with overnight stays in five cities. Queen Mary II will go on transatlantic voyages, as well as cruises to northern Europe, Canada, New England and central Mediterranean. The programme is on sale from 4 April and includes early booking incentives until 31 May. In addition, the three ships will meet in Southampton next year to celebrate the Bank Holiday Jubilee celebration. “Since the high profile introduction of Queen Elizabeth last year, Cunard has seen a step change in interest and demand in the fast growing UK cruise market,” said Peter Shanks, president and managing director of Cunard. “As the pace of life accelerates, more and more people are looking for unique experiences, traditional values and service excellence – with our unrivalled heritage and now with the youngest fleet in the world we are proving to be more popular than ever”.
