InterContinental concierges to use iPad 2s

InterContinental Hotels & Resorts has announced that 10 concierge teams at its properties are to use the new iPad 2 to connect with guests. The hotel chain had originally used iPads to connect with travellers and will now use the updated version to FaceTime with guests. The gadgets will be used in the New York Barclay, San Francisco, Buckhead Atlanta, Houston, London Park Lane, Dubai Festival City, Shanghai Expo, Hong Kong, Tokyo (ANA) and Bali Resort properties. “We are excited to further enhance our interaction with travelers via the iPad 2,” said Simon Scoot, Vice President, Global Brand Management, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts. “As a brand, we pride ourselves on our ‘Insider’ Concierge teams and personalized service, and now prospective guests can access authentic destination advice and top-notch travel tips face-to-face before they even leave home.”
