Spanish airports bid deal to avert strikes

State-owned Spanish airports are reported to have reached a preliminary agreement with unions in a bid to avert the threatened strikes over Easter and the summer. The deal would secure workers’ jobs and current working conditions if the airports are privatised, reported UKPA. However the agreement still needs to be approved by union members, who were concerned that their wage and benefits would be cut once the company changed.
