Delta and Air France-KLM deal further connects Europe to Florida

Delta Air Lines and Air France-KLM have commenced their transatlantic deal, extending Europe’s connection to Florida. Delta launched its daily Miami to Heathrow schedule yesterday, while KLM started its nonstop daily flights from Miami to Amsterdam today. In addition, Air France will commence its thrice weekly service between Orlando and Paris.  The airlines are working together with Alitalia to coordinate the new flights and will share costs and revenue. Delta has also added new direct flights between Miami and Jacksonville, Orlando and Tampa to provide better connection for London travellers.  “The power of our successful joint venture allows Delta, Air France and KLM to embark on this significant international expansion in Florida, with new service connecting the state to these important European cities,” said Glen Hauenstein, executive vice president – network planning, revenue management and marketing at Delta. “Our new nonstop service will provide an economic boost on both sides of the Atlantic.”
