easyJet has announced it will launch flights from Manchester later this year. The airline will operate twice daily flights between Manchester-Belfast International Airport on 31 October. “We believe it is a very good time to introduce the Manchester route,” said Ali Gayward, commercial manager at easyJet. “The city is increasingly becoming an important business centre, and with weekday flights from 07:20, people will be able to complete a full day’s work on arrival in Manchester.” easyJet will also start to use Belfast International for its Luton flights again, after switching to Belfast City for a while. “Moving to Belfast City Airport was always a trial, but in over a year we have seen no tangible benefits,” said Gayward.
