Delegates at the Gulf Incentive, Business Travel and Meetings Exhibition (GIBTM) have predicted that MICE business will continue to grow despite the trouble faced in the region. More than half (53 percent) of delegates said they were positive that the political unrest had not affected their business dramatically, although 41 percent said they had faced cancellations and fewer enquiries. Nineteen percent of attendees said they had seen no effects of the unrest. They said that increased awareness and political stability would help increase business. Meanwhile when polled on their favourite social media, the MICE industry voted LinkedIn top (41 percent) followed by Facebook (30 percent) and 11 percent for Twitter and YouTube.
