Starwood Hotels & Resorts has relaunched its two online meeting planning tools, StarGroups and Reservation Connection. StarGroups is a free online interface that provides event planners with a custom-branded URL specifically for special events, conferences and meetings. Linked directly to Starwood’s reservations system, guests can book their own rooms at pre-negotiated rates, view itineraries and schedules, book resort activities, and download meeting documents. Reservation Connection meanwhile, gives meeting planners an interface directly with Starwood’s reservation system. Planners can upload guest rooming information directly to the hotel’s website where the information is automatically transferred into the hotel’s reservation system.
