Family owned cruise line Classic International Cruises (CIC) has opened an office in the UK in anticipation for the 2012 season. George Nakos will front the London office as UK sales manager, while Desri Omer has been named marketing co-ordinator. The move is to gear up for the cruise line’s ex-UK cruises in 2012, which includes itineraries from Portsmouth and Southampton throughout the year. CIC operates five ships that carry between 350 and 590 passengers. Itineraries include cruises around the Med; Great Britain and the Baltic; the Far East and Spain. CIC is owned by George Potamianos, who is chairman of the company and is run by his twin sons Alexandros and Emilios, who are joint managing directors.
