London hotel revenue soars over Royal Wedding weekend

Revenue per booking at London’s hotels jumped nearly 400% during the Royal Wedding weekend, according to a new report. Pegasus Solutions’ study found that revenue per booking increased 383.7% on 30 April and 210.9% across the weekend. Also despite an expected 134% rise in rates, the length of stay increased over both the post-wedding weekend and Easter. “We’re seeing a pre- and after-party effect for the wedding that has the makings of a windfall for London hotels,” said Mike Kistner, CEO of Pegasus Solutions. “Domestic and international travelers either came early or are staying on through the days and week after the wedding to continue the experience.”
