Fairmont introduces Sustainable Design Policy

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has introduced a Sustainable Design Policy for its new builds and renovation projects. Through the scheme, the hotel chain has pledged to address environmental certifications and continue to reduce its carbon emissions through its WWF Climate Savers membership. “Instituting formalised design and construction guidelines for our robust pipeline of new hotel projects and on-going capital agenda adds a new dimension to our pioneering environmental mandate,” said Chris Cahill, president of Fairmont. “Environmental stewardship is part of Fairmont’s DNA and we want to ensure it’s evident in all phases of our business.”
