Amadeus and Accor extend GDS agreement

Accor has extended its GDS agreement with Amadeus to involve the Motel 6 and Studio 6 brands. The addition of the two brands will provide more budget hotels in the US and Canada for travel agents. “We want to meet the strong demand from bookers for a wider choice of hotel content – whether for budget hotels, pre-paid bookings, or niche independent properties,” said Hugo Ehrnreich, head of hotel distribution at Amadeus. “We are therefore delighted to extend our already excellent relationship with Accor by integrating Motel 6 and Studio 6 brands at rate parity to Amadeus.” The deal means a total of 90,000 Accor hotels will be available on the system.
