InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has signed a long-term full content agreement with Travelport. The hotel chain’s full rates will be included on Travelport using the Best Available Rate (BAR) program, Travelport Pricing Plus and Travelport XML Pro Technology Solution. IHG is also implementing technology to respond to agents’ requests regarding availability, rates and rules through a GDS system. “IHG seeks long-term partnerships that fortify our business by expanding our reach and sales,” said Andrew Rubinacci, vice president of distribution and intermediary sales at IHG. “We’re eager to use their [Travelport’s] next-gen XML Pro Technology Solution across all three of their GDSs and to increase the relevance of data we provide agents during the shopping process”.
