Irish Ferries introduces electric car charge points

Irish Ferries has installed charge points onboard its Holyhead-Dublin route for electric and hybrid cars. A car charging area has been set up onboard the Ulysses flagship and can be used for free. “As part of the rollout of electric car charge points, this new development of onboard charging extends the infrastructure to enable electric car drivers to travel more widely,” said Paul Mulvaney, managing director of ESB ecars, which has developed the charging points with Irish Ferries. “The availabilty of charge points in a wide variety of convenient locations will help to further promote the adoption of electric cars in the UK and in Ireland.” The points are also available on Irish Ferries’ routes between Ireland and France and will be rolled out across the entire fleet.
