Premier Holidays reports bumper H1 results

Premier Holidays has reported a substantial rise in bookings for the first half of 2011. In the past six weeks, the company reports overall sales are up 16%.”Despite all the apparent doom and gloom in the travel industry so far this year, we are delighted that [our] sales are bucking the trend,” said Susan Papworth, MD of Premier Holidays. “We have celebrated these increases across all our divisions – notably our Faraway, Isle of Man and Channel Islands products, the latter of which was up by 26% for May, year-on-year. We partly attribute these rises to the sale of high value and multi-centre, tailor-made bookings which have been strong. We also have benefitted from recent media exposure of the Isle of Man TT Races, showing the island in its true light – with its beautiful beaches and scenery prompting the public to book short breaks.”We [also] credit our success to our agent friendly policy. We have a dedicated trade website and provide agents with window posters and flyers to help promote our destination campaigns.”
