Sabre loses bid to stop American court order

Sabre Holdings has failed in its bid to stop American Airlines seeking a court order barring Sabre from listing the carrier’s fares below those of rival airlines. Bloomberg reported that a judge in Texas rejected Sabre’s argument that federal law pre-empts the Texas state court’s authority to keep it from giving preference to other airlines’ information. American has filed anti-trust claims against Sabre and against Travelport, saying they are involved in anti-competitive practices. The row relates to American’s attempt to avoid the GDS providers and drive more bookings directly to its website.
