Travel Counsellors launches kids workshop during strike day

A one-day workshop for children has been launched by Travel Counsellors today to help those affected by the public sector strike. Several children will be at home today due to teachers striking and the homeworking company has devised the workshop to provide entertainment while its members work. The activities will be announced on TC’s webcast programme TCTV and will include Olympic themed puzzles and competitions. “As around 75% of our agents have children we felt it was important to be able to encompass the support we provide for not just our agents, but their families as we consider them to be part of the company too,” said Malcolm Hingley, sales director at Travel Counsellors. “We have a host of special Olympic themed activities to keep the kids amused on their day off. Over 200 children aged 1-16 years have signed up to take part, which will free up mum and dad’s time to concentrate on their customers.” The workshop launch follows the company’s successful summer kids programme, which resulted in a 22% booking increase during the school holidays.
