Anantara Resorts and Spas has entered into the river cruise market after acquiring two ships. The new venture, previously known as Manohra Cruises, will be known as Anantara Cruises and use two 100-year-old teak rice barges on itineraries in Thailand. These include the Anantara Song, which can accommodate up to four couples on a two-night, three-day Ayutthaya Adventure cruise. The other ship, named Anantara Dream, will sail the same length cruises on the ‘Ayutthaya Thousand Golden Temples Tour’ or ‘Ang Thong Mystic River Tour’. The latter is suitable for two couples and includes a private cooking class, spa, yoga retreat, Thai wine tasting class and a self-guided walking tour. Cruises will depart from Bangkok.
