Air Southwest ceases Plymouth flights

Air Southwest has announced it is to cease its entire Plymouth services from September. The carrier had planned to operate the flights despite Plymouth Airport’s closure but has found that forward bookings were not as high as it hoped. As a result, its flights from Newquay to Glasgow, Guernsey, Jersey and Manchester will be axed on 14 September, followed by services to Aberdeen, Bristol, cork, Dublin and Leeds Bradford on 30 September. This will be the last day of Air Southwest flights, as the company was acquired by Eastern Airways last November.
