CityJet to trial Twitter concierge service

CityJet to trial Twitter concierge service

CityJet has launched a concierge service through its Twitter feed. The tool will offer travel advice to users as well as reserve hotel rooms, books restaurant tables and organise taxi pick-ups. However it will not take requests that need upfront payment such as booking theatre tickets. CityJet said it aims to turn around requests within 15 minutes and the service will run between 2-4pm every Monday to Friday from 1 August for a trial period. Commenting on the new tool, Christine Ourmieres, CEO CityJet, said: “Twitter has become the ‘go to’ tool for customer service within the travel industry but we wanted to add value to the experience and offer a personal service where possible. The majority of our passengers are business travellers and the Twitter concierge taps into their need for a swift, efficient and seamless travel service. It sits comfortably alongside our 15 minute check-ins and convenient flight schedules. If the trial proves successful, we will extend and build on the concierge service.”
