ROBERT GAYMER-JONES has been appointed Chief Executive Officer for Sofitel Worldwide. Gaymer-Jones joined the Accor’s luxury brand in 2007 as Chief Operating Officer after holding a variety of senior positions, notably with Marriott International.
JIM O’SULLIVAN has been named as the next Managing Director of Edinburgh Airport, taking over from Kevin Brown. O’Sullivan was previously the BAA’s Technical Standards & Assurance Director, and also spent 14 years with British Airways.
KEVIN BROWN has been announced as the new Chief Executive Officer for North Queensland Airport Group, based in Cairns. The former Managing Director of Edinburgh Airport in the UK, Brown will be responsible for two airports – Cairns and Mackay.
DOUGLAS M. STEENLAND has been announced as the new Vice Chairman of Travelport’s Board of Directors. Steenland has held numerous executive roles, most recently President & Chief Executive Officer of Northwest Airlines Corporation.
RADHA ARORA has been named as the new President of Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, the Texas-based luxury hotel company based. Arora, who will assume his new role on 5th September, arrives from Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts’ Beverly Wilshire property.
JEREMY HOPKINS has been appointed General Manager of the Macdonald Townhouse in Manchester. Wales-born Hopkins spent several years as F&B Director at The Savoy, and even personally served the Queen while employed at Alexandra Palace.
LISA POBJOY has been appointed General Manager UK & Europe for conference and events specialist, cievents. Ms Pobjoy joined the company 18 months ago as Director of Sales and takes over the role from David Cox who is returning to his native Australia.
FRANK JOOST has been named as LOT Polish Airlines’ new Regional Sales Director for the Americas. A German national, Joost has spent his entire career in Europe, serving as Delta Air Lines’ Regional Director for Western and Eastern Europe.
GILL VENNING has been appointed head of Sales & Marketing for The Coniston Hotel in Skipton, Yorkshire. Ms Venning most recently held sales and marketing roles at two Channel Islands hotels; the Grand Jersey hotel and St Pierre Park Hotel, in Guernsey.
EDITH KRAAIJEVELD has been named as Air France-KLM’s new Public Relations Manager for Singapore, Indonesia, Australia & New Zealand. Ms Kraaijeveld joined KLM in 1996, and was previously the regional Customer Relationship Manager.
