Hurtigruten has added more regional charter departures to its Northern Lights programme for winter 2011/12. The programme now includes departures from Leeds Bradford and Edinburgh, as well as an additional Manchester date. The new flights connect to the ‘Classic Round Voyage’ from Bergen to Kirkenes and back. Kathryn Beadle, managing director of Hurtigruten UK said the move had been made after increased interest from agents. “We looked at what we could do to increase our product offering and a charter flight seemed like a good option,” she explained. “If these new one-off flights from Leeds Bradford and Edinburgh sell well, then we will look to expand the options direct from these regions in the future”.
