The UK chapter of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) has announced it is to hold its ‘Taste of’ event for the second year. The evening will be held in London’s Borough Market on 14 September to show travel agents and tour operators what is on offer in the region. National tourist offices and airlines will be taking part and guests can win prizes on the night by completing a PATA Passport. “The huge success of the inaugural Taste of PATA last year demonstrated how vitally important the Asia Pacific region is to the UK travel trade,” said Ian Hawkes, executive director of the PATA UK Chapter. “While the travel industry continues to face the challenges of economic uncertainty and consumer confidence, Asia Pacific is a region that remains incredibly buoyant”.
