Kuoni has restructured its businesses as part of a three-year investment and cost reduction programme.
The travel company has announced there-grouping will be in place from 1 October with the aim to expand in Asia;develop its European tour operation sustainably; integrate GTA and continue expansion across all areas.
Under the new structure there will be three divisions, including a European tour operating arm named Outbound Europe and another called Global Travel Services which will handle B2B, MICE, FIT and group travel sales. The third will bring together Kuoni’s tour operating and businesses in emerging markets. The executive board will remain the same although some responsibilities have been altered.
“Our updated group structure will enable us to better position our existing tour operating businesses and take full advantage of cross border and cross company synergies,” said Peter Rothwell, CEO of the Kuoni Group. “At the same time, it will equip us to accelerate our development of those activities – especially our Asian business- that have strong growth credentials”.
