Barbados Tourism Authority (BTA) has signed another high-profile partnership in a bid to boost tourism arrivals, this time with Chelsea Football Club.
The deal has been struck to promote the destination across the UK, North America and Caribbean and increase the island’s profile in sports tourism, as well as link the pair’s CSR efforts. As a result, Chelsea is looking into community football coaching programmes in Barbados to support its charity.
“This partnership is much more than getting our Barbados message out to Chelsea fans on match day. We want to harness the charitable spirit of the club and work together on some exciting community projects both in Barbados and the UK,” said Petra Roach, vice president sales and marketing UK at BTA.
