United Continental Holdings is rebranding its global airport lounges, rolling-out the new ‘United Club’ facilities from the weekend. All of United’s Red Carpet Club and Continental’s Presidents Club lounges will be renamed, totalling 50 facilities at 39 airports around the world. The move marks the latest step in the two airlines’ full operational merger, which is due for completion in mid-2012.
The new United Clubs will offer a complimentary bar service with light snacks and beverages, and business amenities such as Wi-Fi, conference rooms and workstations. Qualifying passengers can also receive personalised assistance with reservations, seat selection, upgrades and boarding passes.
