KLM aims to boost Amsterdam MICE market

KLM has signed a new partnership agreement to boost the MICE market in Amsterdam. The Dutch airline penned a multi-year contract with Amsterdam RAI, the Netherlands’ largest exhibition centre, which will see the two parties work together on bids for around 25 large international events every year. KLM will provide flights to conference organisers, as well as offering use of the Air France-KLM Global Meetings online booking tool.

“Amsterdam RAI will now include KLM in all its tenders for exhibitions, conferences and other events,” confirmed Hans Bakker, chairman of the board of Amsterdam RAI.

The move is part of Amsterdam’s broader Taskforce City Wide Congresses – a partnership between Amsterdam RAI, the Amsterdam Tourism & Convention Board (ATCB), Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam public transport company GVB, Amsterdam taxi service TCA, hotels and the city’s Economic Affairs department, which aims to attract more exhibitions and conferences to the Netherlands’ largest city.
