A new travel meta-search engine developed by fivestudents in Germany is to be showcased at WTM. The website, namedpocketvillage, was launched in March and will be showing its redesign at thisyear’s show.
It features a growing number of travel offers covering one-day andmultiple day activities (in a similar way to which Kayak does for flights andhotels) and has developed a data-feed solution (API) for third party contentproviders.
“The particular advantage of our API lies in its simplicity in theintegration, the comprehensiveness of the data and the special service that ourteam offers to develop the best solution for every partner”, said Florian Harkort, co-founder and responsible for business and partnerships atpocketvillage.
Its data-feed includes 40,000 products across the globe whichcan be selected to a company’s specialty and includes geo-locations, text, images and a ‘pocket rating’.
