The Isle of Man government has confirmed its plans to develop a new integrated resort complex. The island announced in September that it was seeking expressions of interest from organisations for the development of the project, which will include a high-end hotel, casino and conference facilities. Now it has completed a series of supporting information regarding the plans, which will be made available to interested parties.
John Shimmin MHK, minister for the Isle of Man department of economic development, said; “I am delighted that this project is progressing well and anticipate good levels of interest in this unique opportunity to develop a hotel and resort complex in the Isle of Man.
“The Isle of Man is an excellent location for a high quality hotel resort and casino complex due to its good transportation links with the UK, excellent lifestyle and a wide range of outdoor activities including nine golf courses. A new resort would be a welcome addition to our already successful visitor attractions and will add to the island’s development.”
Expressions of interest will be assessed and invitations to tender will follow.
