Pegasus Airlines has launched double daily flightsbetween London and Istanbul.
The four additional flights will operate fromStansted to Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen from 25 March to 27 October 2012, withonward connections available across Turkey, North Cyprus and other destinationssuch as Beirut.
The announcement follows a strong first half of the year forthe airline, which has seen its passenger numbers increase 58.2% during Januaryand June compared to last year. Its passenger rise reflects the growingpopularity of Turkey as a holiday destination.
“London is a very importantroute for us, and one to which we are strongly committed to, investing in theroute since the launch of our flights to the UK in 2007, and will continue todo so far into the future,” said Sertac Haybat, CEO of Pegasus Airlines.
The carrieris also extending its network into the Baltic, Balkans and Middle East with newdestinations including Bucharest, Donetsk and Erbil.
