Shearings is expanding its programme of European premium escorted tours. The company, which announced earlier this week that it has seen a 73% year-on-year increase in sales of its Grand Tourer products, has now launched a dedicated Grand Tourer brochure which includes an extended collection of 22 European holidays. New tours include the French Riviera, a tour of the Italian Lakes, and new itineraries to Scotland and Ireland.
Caroline Brown, commercial director for Shearings said; “The strength of our 2011 sales for luxury breaks is further evidence that premium holidays are maintaining their position despite the difficult economic environment. The over 55s market is proving to be particularly resilient, continuing its spending on holidays in both revenue and volume terms, while other markets have struggled.
“Our new collection provides a great opportunity for agents to boost their sales to this lucrative market and demonstrates how we are continuing to evolve our product range to meet the changing tastes of the over 55s,” she added.
The launch of the Grand Tourer brochure follows the release of Shearings’ 2012 UK & Ireland, Europe & Worldwide, Ocean and River Cruise brochures.
