Peach Aviation, the new Japanese low-cost carrier, has been given the green light to operate flights on two domestic routes next year. The ANA-backed start-up airline has been awarded slots at Sapporo’s Shin-Chitose airport and Fukuoka airport, for flights operated to and from its home base at Osaka’s Kansai airport.
From 1 March 2012, Osaka-Sapporo route will be operated three times a day, with services departing Osaka at 0700, 1220 and 1425. The return leg will see flights depart the Hokkaido hub at 0920, 1440 and 1645.
The Osaka-Fukuoka flights meanwhile, will be operated four times a day, leaving Kansai at 0720, 1050, 1725 and 1945. The return services will depart Fukuoka at 0905, 1235, 1910 and 2130.
All flights will be operated using Peach’s A320 aircraft. International flights to Seoul are expected to commence in May next year.
