Wyndham signs five more hotels in China

Wyndham Hotel Group is continuing its expansion in China with the signing of franchise agreements for five Ramada hotels. The new-build hotels will be located in secondary and tertiary cities in Jiangsu, Shandong and Guangxi provinces, and will join the 43 Ramadas already operating in China.

“China continues to be an important growth market with an abundance of development opportunities for a number of our brands,” said Ken Greene, President & Managing Director for Wyndham Hotel Group in Asia Pacific. “We are thrilled to announce the signing of these five new properties, which will not only cement the Ramada brand’s position in China, but will strengthen the greater Wyndham Hotel Group portfolio in the Asia Pacific region”.

The new hotels are the 227-room Ramada Taizhou East (opening in Jiangsu province in October 2012), the 212-room Ramada Plaza Rizhao (Shandong province, December 2012), the 201-room Ramada Yangzhou Baoying (Jiangsu province, March 2013), the 220-room Ramada Wuxi City Center (Jiangsu province, October 2013) and the 300-room Ramada Plaza Dongxing City Center (Guangxi province, November 2015).

Wyndham currently has a portfolio of 425 hotels and more than 61,700 rooms in the Asia Pacific region.
