Vietnam tourism back on track with 4.8 million arrivals

The Vietnamese tourism industry got back on track in October as international arrivals growth recovered following a sharp drop in September. Data released by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism shows a total of 518,477 international visitors were received in October, marking a year on year increase of 21%. This equates to a month on month jump of 80% after arrivals dipped 25% in September. The October performance has restored the confidence of tourism authorities that annual arrivals will hit 5.3 million for 2011 after recording more than 4.8 million foreign visitors in the first ten months of the year.
