New marketing initiative to promote golf in Vietnam

A co-operative marketing group is being launched next week to promote Vietnam’s Central Coast as Asia’s best new golf tourism destination. Various stakeholders are involved in the project including golf courses and tour operators. Golf Coast Vietnam will collectively represent and market three professionally designed courses to international players in a single package.

According to the International Association of Golf Tourism Operators (IAGTO), a three-course destination becomes appealing to 75% of golf travellers, whereas a two-course location is of interest to only 25%. IAGTO also says potential visitors will travel up to 90 minutes from an international airport to reach their destination. All the Golf Coast Vietnam properties easily meet these criteria and provide five-star accommodation as well.
