Hotel ICON, the teaching and research hotel for The School of Hotel and Tourism Management at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, has launched its new Food & Wine Academy.
The Academy will see Hotel ICON schedule a series of practical seminars on topics ranging from service procedures and food preparation to Chinese food and wine pairing. Led by experts in their field, the hands-on seminars are aimed at improving local hospitality standards.
“Hotel ICON is a hotel with a purpose and the Food & Wine Academy is the first of its kind in Hong Kong,” said Richard Hatter, Hotel ICON’s General Manager. “Ambitious and innovative, the Academy allows hospitality students, staff, and other hoteliers to learn from the industry’s finest. As part of its educational function, the Academy will host regular workshops, covering such topics as industry practices and upcoming hospitality trends.”
