Colonial era hotel to open in Chiang Mai

A new 30-suite hotel is set to open in Chiang Mai, Thailand, on 1 January. 137 Pillars House is a converted colonial era building with four suite types which range from 70 – 135m2, each with the modern facilities including outdoor garden showers, flat screen televisions and internet access. The hotel offers a range of dining options too. Main meals are taken in The Dining Room, The Wine Cellar offers a fine wine selection, afternoon tea is taken in The Parlour and coffee and drinks are available in The Library Bar. Private dining is also available in suites, within the gardens or kitchen staff will even put together a picnic basket if so desired. Business services are also available in a small conference room with capacity for 25 people, while leisure facilities include a 25m swimming pool, a fitness centre and spa.  Managed by SilverNeedle Hospitality, the hotel is a member of Small Luxury Hotels.
