Robots run noodle shop in China

A restaurateur in China has brought a new gimmick to the food industry, which is proving very popular among consumers. Fan Ming owns a noodle restaurant in Nanping, Fujian Province, and his business is booming right now after he added robots to his kitchen staff. Ming spent US$1,500 on robots that can slice noodles into boiling water, and it’s an investment that has definitely paid off. Kids endlessly harass their parents to visit the restaurant to be served by a robot, made in the image of Japanese cartoon character Ultraman. According to Orange News, one young customer said; “It’s eyes and chest lights flash as it chops the noodles. It’s really cool!”
