The port city of Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh would be developed into a tourism hub to attract foreign tourists and bring in investments from other countries. A master plan to develop Kakinada is being prepared and a consultancy agency will be appointed to oversee the development of city.
“Kakinada city has a great importance from ancient times. Korangi Mada Forests in the district has secured a special spot in the country. Several major companies have installed their plants and set up business activities here. The port city will be developed as a ‘Pensioners’ Paradise’, besides a tourism hub,” V Vasantkumar, Tourism Minister for Andhra Pradesh told moneycontrol.com.
