Marriott International will strengthen its presence in India by setting up new sales offices in the country to cater to the fast growing consumer demand.
“We will continue to invest in sales team in India and will soon branch out to new cities by setting up new offices. Our global sales offices in India are located at Delhi, Bangalore, and Mumbai. In the next 12-18 months we will branch out to cities like Hyderabad, Chennai and Pune,” David N Townshend, Marriott’s Senior Vice President for Global Sales told PTI.
Marriott plans to operate 100 hotels in India by 2015 and has already signed management contracts with more than 35 hotel owners. It plans to introduce two new brands – Ritz Carlton and Fairfield – to the country by 2013. The group will launch Ritz Carlton in Bengaluru next year and Fairfield in Manesar, Haryana in the first quarter of 2013.
