Wyndham profits rise in Q3

Wyndham Worldwide has reported a 12.2% rise in net profits in the third quarter of 2011. The hospitality giant posted net profits of US$175 million (INR854 crore) in the three months to 30 September, with revenues climbing 13.8% to US$1.21 billion. Of the revenue total, US$222 million was generated from its hotel business, which the remainder came from the company’s vacation rental and ownership operations. “I am pleased once again with our strong results, which reflect outstanding operating performance and the resiliency of our businesses,” said Stephen P Holmes, Chairman & CEO of Wyndham Worldwide.
