ASEAN promotes tourism with China

At the ASEAN-China Summit in Bali last week, members agreed to boost trade, tourism, education and cultural links with China. Malaysia’s Bernama news agency reported that the ASEAN-China Center was launched to spearhead development of bilateral relations, after it was initially conceived back in 2009. The Beijing-based non-profit organisation aims to promote private enterprise, as well as protecting stability, security and peace in the region.
