India’s aviation regulator, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), has said it has found that 267 flight slots unused by various airlines remain unused. This is out of more than 1,900 flight operation slots granted to the domestic carriers in the ongoing winter schedule, representing 14% of the total.
“We have found that in total, there are 267 slots unused by airlines out of the total of 1,910 slots allotted in the winter schedule,” the Economic Times reported a senior official at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) as saying.
