It was great to see such a good turnout at last week’s ACE Marketing Masterclass in London where we discussed ‘How to Find Cruise Customers and Keep Them’. It was part of a series of ACE Seminars entitled ‘Think Differently’ aiming to assist travel agents with the support they need to grow their cruise business.
A number of subjects were discussed including how to use social media, PR, email and advertising, all of which are great tools to build business. But particular emphasis was placed on how to attract holidaymakers who have yet to discover the incredible value, quality, service and destinations that cruising offers.
There was overwhelming agreement that agents have a fundamental role to play in converting first-timers with the support of cruise lines and ACE. Travel agents know their customers – their likes and dislikes, their dream destinations and what they enjoy doing whilst relaxing away from it all. They are, therefore, best placed to use their skills, expertise and knowledge to keep cruising at the top of the list of holiday suggestions.
The quality, value and service on offer from cruise lines mixed with the enthusiasm from agents are a winning combination to ensure the future success of the industry.
