While 44, 571 foreign tourists visited the country during last month, the figures were 2.7% down for the UK. Year-to-date figures are up 16.3% year-on-year.
The results were announced as travel trade leaders in Nepal called for its government to recognise tourism as a national industry.
Ashok Pokharel, president of the Nepal Association of Tour Operators (NATO) said the government needed to step up in aircraft purchases and called for the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) to become a more professional organisation.
He also urged hotel contracts in tourist resorts such as Chitwan National Park to be renewed to maintain tourism into the region.
