The ultra-luxurious resort in Seychelles – Desroches Island – is now represented in the Middle East with a marketing office in Dubai. Commenting on the potential of the Middle East market, Demeiter Vaubell, Director, Sales and Marketing said, “The Middle East is a leading market for us, with the UAE bringing the fifth-highest number of tourists globally to Seychelles.”
According to figures by the Seychelles Tourism Board, there were over 7,500 visitors to the country from the Middle East in 2011, with 5,144 from the UAE alone. At the end of July 2012, this number had already crossed 11,658 for the region, with UAE contributing 7,960 of those visitors – a 56% increase from last year.
Desroches Island boasts white sandy beaches and the resort has 51 private villas and retreats with a choice of one to five-bedrooms. “The resort is all-inclusive and menu items on Desroches are varied. Private butlers are available upon request and service a romantic dinner on a secluded beach,” said Vaubell.
Guests also have the option of some soft adventure with swimming, snorkeling and kayaking or relaxing at the spa, game fishing and even diving.
