The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has asked Kingfisher Airlines to submit its winter schedule which starts from October. The airline is currently operating on curtailed capacity and has suspended its international operations.
“The main concern with the airline is not air safety but its financial condition. Currently, the airline is operating a fleet of only seven aircraft with operations limited to metro cities only. We will ensure that Kingfisher operates only those flights that it can afford to operate so that no cancellations happen,” Arun Mishra, Director General of Civil Aviation was quoted by the Times of India.
