Alila Hotels & Resorts is planning to launch its own luxury wooden sail boat, the Alila Purnama.
The new addition, which will launch in December, is modelled on the traditional Phinisi style of boat used by seafarers in Sulawesi, and will take guests on trips around the Indonesian islands.
Accommodating 10 guests, the 46-metre-long Alila Purnama features four air-conditioned cabins with queen-size beds, en-suite bathrooms, writing desks, toilet and double wardrobes. There is also one master suite with large wrap-around windows offering 270⁰ views of the landscape and its own private balcony and sundeck.
Other onboard facilities include a library, lounge, bar, indoor dining area and an outdoor deck. The boat also offers free Wi-Fi. Alila Purnama also has its own licensed PADI dive centre, as well as equipment for kayaking, surfing, fishing and snorkeling.
The boat’s first sailing will set off this December from Indonesia’s West Papua province. Guests will arrive by flight from Bali to Sorong for a six-day voyage around the Raja Ampat islands.
