A new partnership has been formed that will allow airlines to conduct passenger surveys via in-flight entertainment (IFE) systems.
Survey Analytics, which develops market research technology, is partnering with IFE provider Thales to launch a new range of in-flight passenger surveys, in an effort to gain feedback on passenger behaviour.
Thales said the surveys would be rolled out with “a major airline” by the end of 2013. Passengers will be able to participate in surveys directly via their seat-back screens. Through Survey Analytics’ technology, Thales will be able to collect data in real-time.
“Every industry… needs to be focused on understanding their customers to provide them with the ultimate brand experience,” said Vivek Bhaskaran, CEO of Survey Analytics. “Our partnership with Thales supports airlines with this charge by providing them with an enterprise-grade feedback system that will help enhance the flying experience.
“Airlines now have the ability to actively listen to their passengers in real-time and proactively act on customer feedback,” he added.
The surveys will be available in 22 languages and provide the airline with the ability to follow up with passengers directly after the flight.
