Amadeus has announced the Asian launch of a new tool that allows hoteliers to promote their latest deals and offers directly to travel agents.
The Amadeus Hotels Select web portal will provide Asian travel agents connected to the Amadeus GDS with access to exclusive rates and special offers from more than 1,100 global hotels. Amadeus said that consolidating this promotional content on a single platform would reduce the time agents need to search for the best offers.
“This win-win situation offers enhanced selling opportunities for both parties, bringing our hotel partners closer to our travel agency customers. Participating hoteliers can now highlight their best and latest offers instantly to a wide network of travel agents. This allows them the much needed agility and flexibility to communicate special offers,” said Kartikeya Tripathi, head of hotel distribution at Amadeus Asia Pacific.
Amadeus noted that travellers are increasingly comparing travel agency offers with options from consumer websites, making it important for agents to have real-time online access to the latest offers.
