compared to 1,457 in October 2012.

Between January to October 2013, the scheme was recorded 28.5% growth in the number of tourists availing this scheme with a total of 15770 VoAs issued under this scheme as compared to 12,273 VoAs issued during the corresponding period of 2012.

Out of the 11 countries, Japan topped the list with 436 visas issued followed by New Zealand (435), the Philippines (409), Singapore (249), Indonesia (220), Finland (97), Myanmar (27), Vietnam (24), Luxembourg (8), Cambodia (5) and Laos (1).

During the first 10 months of October 2013, the highest number of VoAs were issued at New Delhi airport (8,829) followed by Mumbai (3,286), Chennai (2,210), Kolkata (1,099), Bengaluru (174), Kochi (75), Hyderabad (68) and Thiruvananthapuram (29).
